Your apple pie begins with 20 slices, because you are able to swim 1k in
20 minutes in open water. When you swim 1k in the pool, you have to add
10 slices.

Your time is 2 minutes per 100m in open water. It reduces to 3 minutes
per 100m in the pool. That's a reduction in speed of 1 minute per 100m.
1 minute is 50% of 2 minutes.

I hope you get the benz and not the bends.

Why would I want a German car?

Germans can do arithmetic. But look at it this way. When you move from the
pool to open water, your speed increases by 1/3. That's the opposite
effect of the rest of the human race, but like you said, you are odd.

Yes, but it says nothing about swimming fitness. These tests don't
measure swimming speed and endurance.
My point exactly. It is not required for a navy diver.
Well, I guess Canada has never been known for its navy.
There are certain things that are the best in the world. I dont know
if one is the divers.

Where are you from anyway? are they the best on the ocean?
I'm from Tacoma, Washington. We are good at building bridges. We
didn't used to be, but we learned from our mistakes, and we created
the science of wind tunnel testing.
OK, uhm. Bridges are not supposed to whip in the wind.
...and we know that thanks to Tacoma.

I dont believe Canada has made such destructive blunders.

Well, it stole Canada from the indians and recently gave quite a lot of it
back. And during the vietnam war it profiteered quite a lot in selling
arms.

But you're right, Canada hasn't made nearly as many destructive blunders
as the US. It hasn't made nearly as many advances either.

I guess you do not like zippers? The telephone? And then there was something
called the Avro Arrow.

The only thing about the American navy better than Canada is: Sheer
Volume. We can pick up their subs miles away. We have Beer on
ship(american ships are dry) Their Friggits are smaller. Their large
ships ar banned from certain places in this world due to the nuclear
pwoer plants ...
But our divers can swim fast and even do arithmetic.

Wave that flag higher.

Look all those wonderous things you wrote about the Canadian navy. Then
compare it to the one, short sentence I wrote about the US navy.

If you talked good things about where you work, and I tried to shoot it
down, what would you think?

I talk good about where I work. I am proud to be part of the Canadian Navy

I could go on and on and on, but I wont.

The americans purchase equipment from us canadians. The CADPAT design
that the americans use, was originally canadian. the americans just
changed the shades. The LAVs are built in canada.

If I were on an american ship, my job would be so specific. I am a
Marine engineering mechanic. On our ships, I deal with anything that is
machinery, but is not weapons or black water/. If I were on an american
ship, I would be incharge of one piece of machnery, an not have a clue
about anything else.

I like my trade. I love my country.
You are the only person in the world who swims a lot slower in the pool
than he does in open water.

Yes, I am unique.

You are a fool.

Don't look in the mirror, you might just see something you do not want to
see.
