Why do you want to float in an upright position anyway? Most people are
not buoyant enough to float in that position with their face above the
water (especially when they breathe out and empty their lungs). Expect
to use a little arm power or leg power if you want to stay steady and
above the water.
I suppose because it seems the most professional or even coolest.
Whenever you see someone floating on tv or the movies that's the way
they do it. Always have gotten a little envious seeing them do it
while I couldn't. I'm sure they use that style just to show their face
better though. I know you have to move your arms and legs. But I also
want to find out how to float the most efficient way that will
conserve your energy.
