Then, yes, now... not quite so bad.

But neither does your math.

For your average person swimming 5 times a week, 2 hrs a day, and not just
doing crawl, what is typical?
All I know is I am getting better. I dont care what I should be at. I care
that I am doing better than I have done before.
For me, any race, or for that matter, any practice, is not about being
first.
It is about being better than I was before. When I was racing, I came in DEAD
last, not last place, BUT, Dead last. I was pitiful at best. Why did I keep
doing it?
In 2 years I went from being a non swimmer to learning how to swim, and in 1
year, loosing 15 seconds off my time.
Yes, That was a while ago, but, that is still the same reason I do things. I
dont care how i measure up. I dont care if it takes me 10 hours to do 8
kilometres. I dont care if it takes longer. I dont set time limits on
things. I set goals of completion. So what if it takes me so long to do it?
Realy, what does it matter? I am enjoying myself. I am getting good
excersise. I am doing something healthy, unlike alot of people my age.
At least I am not lazy, like yourself, and yes, we now have the proof that
you did say that.

Actually most of the time, acheiving 2.5km in 2hrs, it isnt at breakneck
speeds. I sometimes push hard, like the 3km, or not quite so, 1.7km in 2
hrs. Sometimes it is just to relax, others, it is to burn of energy (anger,
annoyance, ... better than using my fists.)

I realy am not asking for advice to get better. I dont want your advice. you
are rude and insultful. You are disrespectful. I do not care anymore what
advice you have, as you do not know how to give it.

Sure. I will ensure that i take a week off work. To push myself that hard, I
would not be able to move the next day. If I ever got good enough to
actually be competitive, I would take a few days off work after the meet for
rest and recouperation.

In a pool I natually stop. That is part of the problem of pool swimming.
