An upset of sorts in Tashkent, a superb 93rd minute counter won the match for the Iranians, which sends them top, though only in the short term, but such a result means that they are already on course to qualify with maximum points on the road. the other fixture for the day is in Beirut, there is still a goalless deadlock... which has just been broken by Quintana for Qatar!!!
Looking ahead, and already a must win match for Uzbekistan as they travel to Lebanon, while South Korea kick off their campaign...
Prediction
Lebanon 1-1 Uzbekistan
Qatar 1-2 South Korea
Group B
Japan 1 3 3
Iraq 1 0 1
Jordan 1 0 1
Australia 0 0 0
Oman 1 -3 0

A superb start for the Japanese, only taking 12 minutes to score a wonderful goal through star man Honda, then running out comfortable 3-0 winners, as they send Australia an early warning (at least me) and take top spot, Japan already look a formidable opponent, the other fixture saw probably the best player in the confederation give Iraq the early advantage, Nashat Akram with a super left foot strike from 20 yards, however Iraq had to share the spoils, as just before half time, as some poor keeping spilled a long range shot to the feet of Ibrahim, who tapped home the equaliser... looked a HUGE crowd by the video!!!
A tough start for Oman will be followed up with a home fixture against Holgers Heroes, as we begin out campaign on the back of a defeat to Denmark in a friendly all be it, a draw would be a decent result here, I hope Holger can somehow come up with a win for Australia, Japan host Jordan in a must win match for for Japan, as it will be their second home match, while Jordan would to well to get a draw...
Prediction
Japan 3-1 Jordan
Oman 0-2 Australia
May Australia and the best teams win!!!
