Commissioners of the two leagues, please step forward! Who are you?

Hi,

Very unfortunately, as I understand the situation, the Commissioner of
the RSS Yahoo EPL league was Ruud, who tragically passed away, leaving
a void there.

I also agree with futbolmetrex (Danielle-ps-I have never been sure as
to whether you are a he or she? Sorry.) in the post on my thread on
the EPL run in to which you responded in kind.

Its too late to do anything drastic about it. And as was pointed out
the prime offender, Blach Liar, seeming has left the field.

However, for next year the situation should be different. In the past
we have had very aggressive commissioners (Vic B). While this created
some problems it also solved some.

What should happen is that next year, in my opinion, if Yahoo sets it
up again, there should be more hands on management, At the minimum
there should be an initial vetting to make sure that participants have
some connection with RSS, I don't think be a regular poster should be
a requirement. I think participation in past years fantasy games could
suffice. But there has to be some connection.

If no one else is interested I would volunteer to be the Commissioner
for the EPL Yahoo game next year. I think I am relatively
uncontroversial here and I don't think anyone would have a problem with
that. (But one never knows).

One thing I would like to do is to promote increased participation.
Several years ago we had to go to two groups because the initial groups
of 50 filled up. Its a reflection of how participation in RSS fell off
that we have had about half that the last couple of years.

I'll leave the who's going to be the Commissioner debate to next year
as we get ready to set up again. I can't plan that far ahead these
days.
