Why ? because he is staying at Villa ?
Seems to me that is best for all parties concerned. I don't see him as
worth more than Alonso, yet Liverpool would undoubtedly take a net loss
on buying Barry and selling Alonso. Villa needs him, and they will
probably have a good season again.
