Correct. From tax payers in Netherlands, Luxemburg, Sweden, Germany, and
others (sorted by net transfer per capita). In 2004, Ireland received
380 EUR EU money per capita, more than any other EU country, including
the new Eastern European ones. In 2005, EU funding for Ireland decreased
a bit, but together with Greece, Portugal, and Spain, they still belong
to the group of countries which receive a lot of EU support in spite of
a strong and growing economy.
So is Irish football due for a revival or a slump?
