That process started _long_ before Sweden joined.

But the Irish have paid us all back handsomely by rejecting the
totalitarian constitution that they were trying to pass through the
back door under the name Lisbon Treaty... I am not joking.

What exactly makes the Lisbon Treaty totalitarian?

In Spain,
the old one (same as the "treaty", in essence) was passed by a very
highmajority... yet more than 90% of the people who voted "yes" had no
idea what the constiution contained. They signed a blank check. The
Irish are not that dumb. Thanks to them, and to the French and the
Dutch, for actually looking at what they're asked to vote on.

I doubt very much the Irish no-voters knew what they were saying no to.
