That's it. The last round. The title is already decided but there's
still a lot to play for.
Sun, Dec 2 [all matches 6:00 PM GMT]:
Santos (2nd, 62 pts) - Fluminense (5th, 58 pts)
The only really meaningless match.
2-1.
Atlético-PR (14th, 51 pts) - São Paulo (champions, 77 pts)
Atlético fight for a Copa Sudamericana spot.
If they win, they'll just hope one of {Sport, Atlético-MG, Vasco}
doesn't win. If they draw, they need Sport and Vasco to lose.
If they lose, they're out.
1-1.
Botafogo (9th, 54 pts) - Figueirense (11th, 52 pts)
Both teams fight for a Sudamericana place.
Botafogo just need a draw. If they lose, they'll just hope two of
{Sport, Atlético-MG, Vasco, Atlético-PR} don't win.
Figueira will get their spot with a win. If they draw, they'll hope
two of these things happen:
- Atlético-MG lose;
- Vasco don't win;
- Sport don't win;
- Atlético don't win.
If they lose, they need two of {Vasco, Sport, Atlético-PR} to
lose too.
2-1.
Juventude (19th, 38 pts) - Sport Recife (13th, 51 pts)
Ju are relegated.
Sport fight for a Sudamericana spot.
If they win, they'll get a spot. If they draw, they need two of
these things to happen:
- Figueirense lose by 2 or more;
- Vasco lose;
- Atlético-PR don't win.
If they lose, they'll need Atlético-PR to lose and Vasco to
lose by at least nine goals.

Náutico (15th, 46 pts) - Flamengo (3rd, 61 pts)
This game would be totally meaningless but for a little detail:
Flamengo still need a point to ensure entering directly into
Libertadores' group phase. If they lose, they'll hope Palmeiras
don't win by a margin that added to their defeat's GD reaches
five or more.
2-2.
Palmeiras (4th, 58 pts) - Atlético-MG (10th, 52 pts)
Palmeiras will get a Libertadores spot with a win. If they draw,
they need both Cruzeiro and Grêmio not to win. If they lose,
they'll hope both these teams also lose.
Atlético just need to win to get a Sudamericana spot. If they
draw, they'll need two of {Figueirense, Vasco, Sport,
Atlético-PR} not to win. If they lose, they'll hope two of those
things happen:
- Figueirense lose;
- Vasco lose (or draw if Galo's defeat is by only one goal);
- Sport don't win;
- Atlético-PR don't win.
2-0.
Cruzeiro (6th, 57 pts) - América-RN (20th, 17 pts)
Cruzeiro fight for a Libertadores spot.
If they win, they need Palmeiras not to win and Grêmio not to
win by a 13+ (!!!) greater GD. If they draw, they'll hope
Palmeiras lose and Grêmio don't win.
3-0.
Grêmio (7th, 57 pts) - Corinthians (16th, 43 pts)
Grêmio fight for a Libertadores place.
If they win, they need Palmeiras and Cruzeiro not to win. If
they draw, they'll hope both those teams lose.
Corinthians are trying to escape relegation.
If they win, they're safe. If they draw, they'll hope both Goiás
and Paraná fail to win. If they lose, they'll need Goiás to lose
and Paraná not to win.
2-2.
Goiás (17th, 42 pts) - Internacional (8th, 54 pts)
Goiás have sacked their coach Márcio Araújo and put
goalkeeping trainer (!!!) Cassius Hartmann in his place.
To escape relegation, they need to win and hope Corinthians
don't, or to draw while Corinthians lose and Paraná don't win.

Vasco da Gama (12th, 51 pts) - Paraná (18th, 41 pts)
Romário might be playing his last Brasileirão match.
Vasco fight for a Sudamericana spot.
If they win, they get it. If they draw, they'll need two of these
things to happen:
- Atlético-MG lose by three or more goals;
- Figueirense lose;
- Sport don't win;
- Atlético-PR don't win.
If they lose, they'll hope Sport and Atlético-PR lose too.
Paraná are trying to avoid the drop to Série B.
They need to win and hope both Corinthians and Goiás fail
to win.
3-2.
If my predictions are correct, Palmeiras will qualify for
Libertadores, Corinthians will escape relegation and Botafogo, Vasco,
Atlético-MG and Figueirense (on goals scored!) will get the remaining
Sudamericana spots.
