DC and Houston are still the class of the league. LA still has issues in
defense and PrimaDonnavan is going to miss time due to the Gold Cup/Copa
before Spice Boy shows up. Dallas is a shadow of themselves last season,
but that's still better off than the unknowns Colorado is fielding in the
attack. FSL is still coached by Ellinger and still has no defense, and as
you said, Chivas is just a mess.

After DC in the East its wide open. New England has an unhappy Joseph and
no Dempsey, New York has too many fragile pieces that have to fit together
(Mathis, Reyna, Arena) and no big attack threat, Chicago is getting Blanco,
and my be the most solid from top to bottom after DC. KC and Columbus don't
look like anything special. Toronto is the wild card, but I expect
expansion headaches will keep them out of the playoffs.

Remember, the playoffs this year are top 2 from each conference, and the
next best 4 teams combined. I expect the West to be much stronger than the
East this year.

MLS Cup will be DC winning on home turf, probably against Houston, though LA
could sneak in there.
