A very very funny story which fills me with glee each weekend.
March 2007: Of 8 games after winter break, Dortmund has won 2 and lost
6. The gap to the relegation zone has reduced to a single point.
One of those wins was against us, after they went up 1-0 we went up 2-1
and the final was 3-2. Three lead changes in one match. They would be
in very deep Kim Chee right now had they lost that match.
Following a 0-2 defeat in Bochum last week-end, Jürgen Röber today
resigned (or was forced to resign). According to media reports, Thomas
The latter possibility would have been pretty stupid...
von Heesen refused to take over now and the Dortmund management does not[...]
want him any longer. Most likely candidates as new coach are Thomas Doll
That's even funnier! Will be see von Hessen in Munich next season? :-))))
(Lots of talk about Hitzfeld... I still predict he won't stay)
Chaos everywhere.
Even better than the Michael Meier years!
Prediction: they won't be relegated, their squad is too good. But they
are in big danger and the team is inexperienced in relegation struggle.
Getting some momentum from a new coach is their last chance.
I actually think there's a good chance they could drop this year. Look
at them in interviews. They are not mentally ready. Comment yesterday
was incisive... the teams that have been in the sumpf are fighting hard
and some of them are going to escape (e.g., at least one of Frankfurt,
Aachen, Bochum, and possibly even Gladbach, in whom you can start to
believe after this weekend). The ones who've slipped down and still
talk big (Dortmund, Wolfsburg, to a lesser extent HSV) are in much
greater danger, especially "relative to talent".
Back to BvB: I think of the candidates you mentioned only Magath can
save them. He's still quite a good fireman.
