I like this squad - and the strategy of A-leaguers for home games and
European based for away (or at least the Middle East) - means a lot of
up and comers getting a chance prior to the AFC finals next year. Nice
blend of youth and experience too.

Is it a strategy, or are the Euro players just not willing/allowed to
travel
to Australia?

This is not a squad for matches in Australia.

This is so, but I was enquiring as to why so many more European-based
players are playing in this match and IIRC did not play in the home game
against Kuwait on the 16th. I am thinking it is not because of a strategy by
the team management, but because those players were unavailable or unwilling
to travel to Australia.
