Valencia's director Amedeo Carboni is busy unloading players and trying
to buy a few new ones. Rufete is already gone to Espanyol of Barcelona.
Now Mista has moved from Valencia to Atlético de Madrid, yet another
reinforcement for a club that desperately needs to win something.
Valencia has also unloaded Bernardo Corradi (Manchester City) and is
trying to hire Simao, in an operation in which they want to unload
Marco Di Vaio, another leftover from the Ranieri regime. In my opinion,
Simao is not a good deal for Valencia at the price (20 million has been
mentioned) and I think Marco Di Vaio is a player they should keep and
integrate, especially after getting rid of Mista and Rufete. Di Vaio
was Valencia's top scorer the year he was actually there. Vicente is
back, apparently cured of his problems, good news for football. No idea
what Valencia's bosses plan to do with Viana, a good player they have
barely used.

- Vicente and Morientes will make a great combo as long as Vicente is
healthy.
