Hybrid formation

So how did the experimental formation fare?

Was Gerrard any good in his advanced role, and was Carragher at least
better than Hargreaves in front of the defense?

I hated the 4-5-1 with Owen running around alone upfront. Personally
I'd have played 4-4-2 with Crouch and Owen upfront and Gerrard in
behind them as he does for Liverpool.
The first half was dire but in the second things picked up and with
Crouch and Walcott on the team did resort to 4-4-2 and looked a decent
outfit.

Carragher tried and tried but cut no dice.... he's no Hargreaves who I
think does a better job in this position but not half as good as
Carrick who should be first choice in this position!
