Yet you can learn foreign languages in a week? Amazing, you are!
Not really, as least I don't think so.
I don't find Spanish and Italian to be much different than Portuguese,
Spanish is quite similar, anybody that speaks Portuguese gets 80% or
more of what a Spaniard is saying and Italian while not as similar
isn't too far away either. Keep in mind all these languages derive from
Latin therefore there are a lot of similarities and similar sounding
words. My real talent is not in understanding the meaning of the words
but rather imitating the pronounciation of each language as if I was a
native, I can speak perfect English (much better than I type) to be
honest I've never heard a Portuguese that can speak English as fluently
as I do, people often ask me if I was born here or if I'm part this or
that. I can do Scottish, Irish, Liverpudlian, Mancunian, Cockney,
American accents, my favourite is a deep Southern accenta Georgian
accent, I love pronouncing "boy" and "police" in those accents.
Even French and English in some aspects (not as many as Spanish) are
similar to Portuguese, remember the Romans conquered France, Portugal,
Spain and Britain therefore influences of Latin are felt in each
Language.
One thing I notice is words which are used regularly in one dialect are
often not used in the other (a similar word might be used) therefore in
English you might say "compliments" while we might say the Portuguese
"Elogios" which is basicaly "eulogies" but as you can see the similar
soundind word is not used, there are many examples of English words who
sound close to ours but are often not used in English.
French and English have many similar sounding words this is IMO not
just because of the Roman Conquests but also because of French
influence over English culture in general, in all honesty I don't think
English culture is that original as it suffered heavily fro French
influences and therefore is always a bit "Frenchyfied".
I can also speak Portuguese with Brazilian accents, be they Northern or
Southern, I love doing those when around Brazilians. Basically you just
smiles a lot, sweeten the sound by giving more emphasys to the final
vowel in the words (almost musically) and replace every "L" with an
"U".
Portuguese: Natal
Brazilian: "Natau"
Jardel, Jardeu
Papai Noel, Papai Noeu
Portugal, Portugau
Brazil, Braziu.
They also have problems using the 2nd person singular "Tu" and instead
say "você" which is a more formal expression.
German and Dutch now those languages are hard, I never tried them but
they seem to have fewer paraleles to Latin, the Germans chew the words
more too, but I don't really know that much about either language but
Russian definitely seems easier than German.
I find pornography interesting (I'm sure there's a better adjective)
Arousing?
Stimulating?
You best not be dissin my dawgs... Not a fan of my slang, Andre? Cut me
some slack, for I am nothing but a "southern boi" (an anti-redneck)
from the dirty city of N'awlins. ^_^
Wass up wit'cha dawg? Sho nuff youse b' talkin' sum truths dhere.
"Who let the dawgs out, woof, woof (white guy André stands up and does
the worst shimmy known to mankind)"
80's with Samantha Fox on the cover are already a distant mammary.
I was like 6 years old when those pictures came out,
She looked good, I must of been 8 years old and this tanned, smiling,
flashy girl was hugging herself with these circunferences inside
circumferences (nipples, breats) just sort of saying "hello" to me, I
was only 8 but I felt a strange attraction to that magazine cover and I
kept checking it out when nobody was home and trying to understand what
was so captivating or magical about those gigantic nipples and every
single detail about them.
I can't find the cover photo online but I believe this photo was from
that shoot:

Sweet memories from the year that was 1983.
and somehow, I
remember that point in my life...Yet, I don't even remember what
happened last week...
Not much, basically Barbra Streisand sent E-Mails to Tom Daschle and
Lieberman telling them how to run the country after 2008.
