Call for Discussion (isn't this the way things are done in Usenet?): the
"No Scores in Header" policy

I think it's time that we reevaluate our "No Scores in Header" policy. We
should discuss the matter, draft a potential amendment to the FAQ, and put
it to a vote. Maybe in the end we'll decide to keep things as they are
now, but at least it will be a decision of the current members and
contributors to RSS, instead of a blind worship to a norm that was drafted
15 years ago, under completely different circumstances.

Based on the responses to this thread, there seems to be a solid majority
(about 2 to 1) in favor of keeping things as they are now. There could very
well be a silent majority who is in favor of change, but if they don't speak
up now, I'll let the initiative die off without even putting it to a vote.

In any case, it's a good thing that we opened this up for discussion.
