I find these sessions to be a mixed blessing. When we have ice at our local
rink, I skate from 6-8 a.m. twice per week with only one or two other
skaters. Occasionally I'm the only one there, but when that happens, I feel
unmotivated.

Normally I'd agree, I love to watch everyone and gossip a bit, but this
morning just felt like such a wonderful escape from the noise and
bustle. With 2 small children and a tv addicted husband, I hear very little
silence. That, and I've been frustrated at how crowded the early morning
session has been where I usually go.

I didn't even play music, just listened to the scrunch of my blades carving
ice. Bliss!
