Göteborg's Scandinavium info


Scandinavium is the second largest indoor arena in Sweden
and accommodates sporting events, concerts, shows,
exhibitions, trade fairs and corporate functions.

The arena was built in 1971 and receives over 700 000
visitors every year. The situation of Scandinavium is
just in the city of Göteborg, surrounded by hotels, shops
and restaurants. It?s impossible to list all the
spectacular concerts and shows that have been held at
Scandinavium since opening in 1971. Among the stars you
recognize Bruce Springsteen, Whitney Houston, The Rolling
Stones, Harry Belafonte, Bob Dylan, Deep Purple, Santana,
ABBA, Eric Clapton, Stevie Wonder, Queen, Niel Young, U2,
Depeche Mode, Prince, Bryan Adams, Tina Turner, Back
Street Boys, Sting, Sarah Brightman, Britney Spears,
AC/DC etc.

Scandinavium has been selected as a championship arena
approx. sixty times, hosting World Championships,
European Championships, World Cup Finals and Davis Cup
Finals. In 2002 the Ice Hockey World Championship was
played at Scandinavium and in 2008 we welcome the World
Figure Skating Championships.
