Ok so we need an openside but IMO Fearns is not the answer. I've seen
him a lot for Bath and he's not in the same class as any number of
others I could name. Not sure how Haskell has been going for the
Highlanders but again he's no openside. Johnson - good blindside which
leaves Robshaw at openside, but (and I'm afraid I am repeating myself
now) he's not an openside. Dowson is too lightweight for 8 but could do
a job, but again, he's not an openside. Brussouw is going to have a
field day.
I am aware it's going to be physical but do we really need 6 locks?
Do we really need Matt Stevens? Same goes for Lee Mears, who has done
nothing all season.

Good to see some midfield options. I suspect the influence of Catt.
Allen, Joseph, Turner-Hall and Lowe all offer something. Did we really
need them all though considering we've already got Barritt, Farrell and
Manu already named?
Do we really need sausage fingers Monye?
It's nuts that Steffon Armitage is not in there. Fearns is OK but has
the speed of an oil tanker. If age is a factor why is Mears going?
Apart from that the squad looks pretty green and the midweek side will
probably get its arse handed to it on a plate but will learn from it.
