to make myself feel better. Thank God.

In general, when someone tries to assuage their disappointment over a
loss by saying 'well at least we gave them a good game', it's because
the team you support isn't very good - e.g. the NZ cricket team.

If you actually support a good team, no amount of results comparison
is going to make a blind bit of difference. Your team lost and it
hurts. End of.

It's because the AB's set such high standards that trolls such as myself can make hay out of any loss.

Seriously though - it's a long way from the probables vs possibles game of a few years back which probably was the best 2 sides in the world at the time. It also strikes me that you've not addressed many of the problems Mitchell had since Henry took over, it just looked like you had because a couple of exceptional players carried you through the early Henry days. There is still a lack of plan B, still a lack of on-field leadership and still a failure to react to other teams tactics.

But.... those are all fixable without making changes to the team. Which leaves one obvious suggestion....
