Conspiracy theorists, of course, might venture that this is the first
step in transforming Sarries into a defacto "London South African"
club in the same mould as London Welsh, London Scottish or the
previous incarnation of London Irish.

Walkinshaw is a family friend (the in-laws farm his land). When asked by my
father-in-law about Gloucester losing money, his answer was simply "you know
nothing about losing money until you've owned a Formula 1 team". I don't
think the sums that Gloucester lose really bother him. His sons motor racing
career is probably costing him more at the moment. Brownsword is a different
matter. Whilst Walkinshaw is hoping to see the returns from the ground
expansion soon, Bath are in Limbo about developing The Rec. Without the
increase in capacity, it's hard to see him staying on.

As an aside, people should have a look at the attendance figures for the GP
last year and note that they actually fell on average. This is probably
explained by the number of extra competitions that they're are. Most of my
friends will miss a few of the GP away games now as they've spent all their
money getting to France, Italy or wherever.

I cannot read who said what in that post. You guys really should
upgrade to Windows Live Mail, or to some other news reader that isn't
OE or Windows Mail.

This is Windows Live Mail - I trust it is ok?

It's fine. It's the dummies using web based news that cause all the trouble by their inability to use it properly. Does me a favour actually. I see a load of lines without quote marks, know that it's a plonker who has contributed it, and move on. Speed reading at its most efficient.
