Good tough interprovincial game last night and both teams played

MUCH BETTER THAN S14!!
Any way HB won 18-14 coming back well after being 14 nil down after 30
mins.

Was definitely on the edge of my seat for the last half hour. That second
half play with fifteen or so phases by the forwards certainly deserved a
try. Heart-breaking for Michael Johnson to lose the ball diving over the
tryline. Totally relieved when the ref blew full time.
The beauty of this is that the Bay is finally meeting and often beating
the mid-table teams of the old NPC Division 1. The likes of Taranaki,
Otago, Southland, Waikato. With our provincial population base of nearly
150,000 we should be second only to the main centres (Akl, Wgtn, Chch).
Give it a few more seasons and this may well be the case.
A slip-up against the Stags and a resurgent Mooloo team may have us
ending the season mid-table. But just a few years ago, playing in the NPC
promotion/relegation games, we were thrashed by sixty points by the
Division 1 wooden spooners (BOP I think). Thankfully those days are gone.
C'mon the Bay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
