There is more to spam filtering than blocking one or more senders.

For those who run their own newsserver using Leafnode, here are my two
filter lines to keep our MI5 friend in the boondocks:

# A mass-posting idiot who bombards multiple newsgroups.
^From:[[:space:]]+MI5-?[Vv]ictim@mi5\.gov\.uk
^Subject:[[:space:]]+.*M[[:punct:]]+I[[:punct:]]+5[[:punct:]]+[[:space:]
[:punct:]]*[Pp]e[[:space:]]+r[[:space:]]+s[[:space:]]+e[[:space:]]+c
[[:space:]]+u[[:space:]]+t[[:space:]]+i[[:space:]]+o[[:space:]]+n

Note that the last three lines are actually a single line wrapped into
three.

They aren't much use to people who use M$ Lookout, but those who can
read the slightly arcane regular expressions could find them useful.
Also note that these are an evolving thing, as the spammer keeps
redecorating his Subject: line.
