Will this worldwide trend to use 2nd 15 teams continue in the world cup?
Especially in the Pool games when it is inevitable that the lesser team
will probably lose.
I think with 30 man squads it will happen regularly with teams saving
their best players for the closer games.

Hate to burst your little conspiracy bubble, but deliberately losing
means you'll come second in your pool, and hence face a tougher 1/4
final.

If you come second in your pool you will reach the 1/4 finals. For the
lesser teams that could be the best they can expect. The money the team
will get will be more for just reaching the 1/4 finals even if they get
knocked out at that stage.

I would say that Scotland will probably play a 2nd 15 against ABs to
lessen the chances of injuries so that their best team will be available
Italy the next game.

Yeah, nothing admitting defeat even before the game begins to help boost
morale.
Have you ever played a team sport before?

The winner of which will probably go thru to the 1/4 finals.

If you want be a world champion, it is much easier to simply win all your
games.

Some teams will never be world champions so why not go as far as you can.

To overcome this

You should lay off the magic crystals...

*** off!
