Hi
Ok here it is the soloution to world rugbys problems, lets scrap the
6N and the 3N, and create an 10 Nations Tornament including Argentina,
each team plays 9 games so in the old 6N window we play the games
between the home nations teams ,the Southern Hemisphere international
Window we play the games between the 6 Nations teams touring the SH
and the 3 Nations teams against each other, and in the November window
we can play the games with SH teams playing the NH teams, Or you could
split the teams into 2 groups of 5 for example
Group A
New Zealand
Argentina
Scotland
Ireland
England
Group B
Australia
South Africa
Wales
France
Italy
H+A fixtures could be played or just 1 fixture each to ease
congestion, but it means every game will mean something and can count
towards World Cup Seedings ,it also could be played over 2 years if
necissary, the Old traditional awards like the Triple Crown and 6N
could be awarded to the best team in games played between the relevent
sides. Also all Test Matches will count.

The SANZAR deal is through 2010.
Perhaps it is possible for SAfr to get out some way. They'd probably have to give 1 year notice and forfeit some $$$.
Hence Argentina (or a Pacific Barbo side) could join as early as 2009.
Boks could join the 6N which would have good/bad results for all.
The good would be that the Boks could go north for 3 straight matches and then come home for 3 more (or the 3 home games could be before the away etc). Also time changes are almost eliminated. And there are a few Boks now or soon to be in Europe that would be available.
The bad is getting the 3 teams coming to SAfr to want to travel that distance for one match. You'd have to think that an agreement would be made to give the visitors a midweek B match w/a Currie Cup side.....let the visitors bring extra players possibly.
These are the thoughts of a Yank........let me hear from the rest of ya.
