My proposition was in answer to the assertion that Damien Hirst couldn't do squiggly maths things, so you're just gainsaying. But who is to say he can't, perhaps he is a math head. Each to their own field of endeavour, though. This doesn't get away from the basic argument that artistic endeavour is undervalued compared to the science robots' achievments.


I'm not trying to deny that science and maths have made significant achievments, including screwing the environment BTW, but let's get a sense of proportion here and understand just WHO is enriching lives here... and that's really what it's all about in the end.

I see genius in anyone who can bring order or beauty out of chaos - whether it's the chaos of sound and language, or that of the quantum realm. They both turn nothings into somethings.
