Eventually they will. Why do you think so herbivores and carnivores differ

Yes they are. Maybe only at a very minimal level, but your offspring are a
combination of your gentics, plus whatever acquired characteristics you
gained. Otherwise you childrend would just be clones of yourself.

It is Darwinism in action. The changes over one or two generations may be
very very small, but it exists.
and in the world of professinal sport, very minor improvements are the
difference between winning and losing.
