A very thorough and impressive analysis, but to be honest, it's pretty
much what I said anyway. However you seem to have missed the part where
I said:
"France on paper were a far easier proposition than New Zealand in
1991, and to the blokes who rigged the draw, it didn't really matter
anyway as long as a NH team made the final. France, England - you all
look the same to us."
So the draw wasn't rigged so much to England's advantage as it was to
negate a NZ / Oz final. And THAT'S what we're a bit grumpy about.
