Who to shout for?
The ashes has made me think of this strange phenomonon of who to shout for
when your team is not playing?
I'm Irish yet find myself shouting for England in Cricket and Football but
not Rugby. For some unknown reason I always like to see SA do well and will
shout for Australia over NZ, NZ over France, Wales over Scotland. These
'loyalties' are independent of sport and favourite and are somewha\t
involuntary. For example, I found myself shouting for Aus in the 03 RWC
final even though i really wanted a NH win.
Anyone else have these strange 'preferences'?
