Re: 2008 Tipping...final result and goodnight!

Many thanks for all your hard work running the comp every year Gordon
and I'm more gobsmacked than everyone with the results! Obviously I
base my success on absolute pure guesswork as weekly UK league news
here in New Zealand is non existent hehe!
Must try to get back home for a trip next year see if you all are
still around.
'Till next season
regards
Peter (ex the great WIGAN)

Same as last year then!

Congrats to Leeds, Superleague champions again

...and most of us left gobsmacked yet again!

But not Peter Foster, who deservedly wins the Playoffs Tipping title.

Meanwhile the Virtual Grand Final fizzled out into a draw, which
means that Phil L, the regular season champion, completes the
double.

Later on I`ll add Phil and Peter to the Hall of Fame, their achievements
now going down in history!

So all that`s left now is for me to thank everyone yet again for
entering the Tipping Comp, and making it such a pleasure to run.

Oh and thanks for all the thanks, also, in the earlier threads! (Shucks,
I`m all embarrassed)

Oh and a third final thing....a special thanks to Wirral Saint, whose
help has been so invaluable for the last two seasons, and I`ve never
so much as bought him a pint!      Cheers, mate

Oh and I wonder if Jeff will be back next season?   :-)

All the best to everone tho....see you all again, next season!

Saints  16 - 24  Leeds                Leeds by 8

Tipped Saints.....17 by an average of  +14 spread from +8 to +30
