I am not entirely sure that adults are safe from children. Better get them checked as well,

Has the ARA or anyone else looking into the implications for rowing,
particularly with regards to stay away weekend regattas. Virtually
everyone in a club will interact with juniors in one of these ways,
will we all need to be checked, and who will decide if we need to be
checked. Maybe we will just get rid of the juniors, save the trouble.
One interpretation of the rules -- which are vague and badly drafted, as usual -- is that anyone who is likely to be in the same room as a junior member of the club needs to be on the list. I hope that's wrong: my club only has one room, which everyone has to go into on account of that's where the boats are.
I read that the database is going to have 11.3M people on it (out of, what, 60M including the children who must be protected?) which is ludicrous. Not a practical means of achieving the declared aim, however admirable that may be.
