Personally, I'm trying to argue w/ NK that they should increase the #
of reads that the XL can record to 0.1/sec... so you can graph the
micro-phases of the drive & see all this theory applied.
About a decade ago someone in NZ developed a unit that read and
recorded the impeller every time it went around - "real" time. IIRC,
a bit of math (distance covered per impeller revolution x frequency)
allowed him to calculate displacement, velocity, and acceleration...
It's possible, but most rowing coaches don't need that resolution.
