What's with this "divot behind the blade" business? Are we back to
"The bluffers guide to appearing powerful."?
Place your blade, move the boat by it, extract the blade cleanly.
What's so hard about that? If I could find the perfectly efficient
blade I'd prefer to leave the water virtually unmoved. NO DIVOTS!
