Re: Rowing Correspndents


Mike Rosewell has been more than a fine reporter of our sport, he has
been a great ambassador, significant 'player' in the corridors of
power and an important diplomat in defusing some potential conflicts
and also pricking the odd outrageous ego which sorely needed it. If
the Times is to deny us his voice on their pages (sic), I sincerely
hope the sport will not lose his contribution in other ways.

Having acted as press officer at many events at which Mike represented
the Thunderer, I can attest not only to his professionalism but also
to his excellent company.
