Tell them to move to Cambridge! Plenty of vets here have been racing a
dozen or so times a year for a decade or more without ever having had
ARA membership.
Probably too late for next Sunday's Radegund Mile, but City's Head to
Head and Sprint regatta are in a fortnight or so (a week after the
Head of the Cam), which should loosen you up nicely for the Nines
Spring regatta and X-Press Head, before the Time Race and the Town
Bumps.
Bit of a bummer planning weekend outings if you're not racing though...
