Information on Sargent and Burton and Keenan

I just came into possesion of a Sargent and Burton single scull as well
as an apparently quite old Keenan single from the now defunct San
Francisco Police Athletic Club. Would anyone have information in the
way of history on either of these boatbuilders? My plan is to get both
back on the water. It would be of great interest to know some history
behind these shells to add to the enjoyment of rowing them. I know
that Sargent and Burton is Australian and that Keenan supposedly built
shells on Jefferson St. in San Francisco.That is the full extent of my
knowledge however. Here in the Pacific NW, if it is wooden, it is
usually a Po*** or Owen.

Any help or leads on where to search for this info would be much
appreciated.
