Hi Group,
I have a couple of programs you may wish to try.
The 1st is a new version of "Rowing Timer" for Desktop/Laptop PCs.
This software is designed to make it easy to time and produce reports of processional races (head race types).
Included in the install are an example race about to start, and one which has finished (try printing it out??)
All names are fictional and any resemblence to any athlete, living or dead, is entirely co-incidental.
One new feature is the ability to start races in batches.... which I guess could be used for multilane scenarios?
The 2nd is the same thing for Pocket PC.
Improvement on the desktop version in that the problems of battery life and portability are pretty much answered.
I have ran this application on my Orange MPV500 (a pocket PC phone), an ipaq and an Acer n30.
I haven't got round to writing a user guide for this yet, but basically you record a time when a boat crosses a time point (start, split points and finish) and then identify that to a particular event (eg boat 47 crossing the start or boat 1 crossing the finish line).
Pocket PCs have similar, but not exact specifications of hardware buttons. For the moment I have set all 4 application buttons to record times.
The files produced are in the same format as the desktop version, so transfer them there for printing.
If you have a pocket PC, please try this, I would welcome your comments, and the opportunity to adapt them to your clubs needs.
Both programs can be downloaded at

PLease give me feedback!!
