The "search for truth" is not in and of itself, scientific. Many
theologians and philosophers devote their entire lives to searching for
truth, yet do not apply any science to it.



Not sure whether I should resemble that remark. Scientific thinking can be used in philosophy and theology as much as science (although certainly there are many theologians who don't).

Modern science came out of philosophy and theology...
