And for whoever was making the claim that this is too trivial to
concern ourselves with, reasoning that the novice will now lose by 28
instead of 29 seconds, is missing the mark completely. Not much
LOL. oh brother. I think I remember some post of
yours last week about how how people ought to
open up their minds, actually READ other people's posts,
and use their ability to reason,to talk
through this stuff rationally to try to come to
understandings. I let it sit there of course. :^)
matters for the novice at all, other than keeping the round bit down,
and learning to relax a bit. That said, no point in making them figure
it out through trial and error, when it could be explained up front
rather easily.
I guess. But I'm not a very good coach, people don't usually
learn how to row very well when I explain it to them. Usually it
takes hours and years of teaching.
I'll try to learn to explain it better, save some time! </sarcasm>
I thought this was worth discussing because it could benefit the rower
at the highest level of performance, where there is not much room to
improve physiologically and technique is about it.
The rower at the highest level of performance is probably not reading
this forum, especially yours and my contributions.
It is worth discussing, I've learned something from you and Carl and KC
about the meanings of systems in motion - very interesting.
Thanks
.
