Disillusioned With RSPW? Try RSPW.moderated!

The spam in this newsgroup is out of control. And I'm not even
talking about off-topic or post-count-war posts. I've done some
posting off-topic myself. However, it is the advertising spam that is
getting more and more out of control and will finish off RSPW before
anything else. It actually got to the point where I started looking
into how various areas on Usenet are dealing with the problem. I went
to one very well-known Usenet group, whose posters were almost
militant about defending their newsgroup from outside posters with bad
intentions and was shocked to see that newsgroup ruined, a shell of
its former self. I couldn't believe it was truly ruined. And just
about the only posts still being posted are advertising spam. They're
almost like weeds that crowd out the good posts until there are none
left. That is why I believe the advertising posts will be the end of
RSPW if we don't do something -- I have noticed them really on the
increase lately.

After researching the issue, it occurred to me -- RSPW.moderated! Why
don't we all migrate there? Yeah, it will mean the end of the post-
count-wars and off-topic posting. But hasn't everyone been
complaining about that, as well as the spam? I am willing to give up
what off-topic posting I do to be able to actually talk pro-wrestling
in an environment that doesn't look like a junkyard.

What do you all say?
