A few months back, somebody moved in above me. They open & close their terrace doors approximately 5,000 times every hour, OVER & OVER & OVER, they spend half the night dragging what sounds like heavy furniture over linoleum back & forth, and pound on the walls in what sounds like bodies literally being flung against walls. Usually this ends around 8-9 P.M., but then they often start up again for a time late at night.

Now MY methods of payback don't seem to be working-giving them back the same loud repeated opening & closing of doors at 3-4 A.M. while they're sleeping (while making sure the door grinds loudly along the track & THUMPing it closed), along with the occassional slammed door. Since I know you're a**holes like I, how would YOU give them the sh*t?



Option 1: Call the landlord and complain...LOUDLY!


My parents are the landlords. And they already KNOW my complaints about these a**holes.


Option 2: Get a pair of HEAROS ear plugs that would kill most external noise while your sleeping.


I REFUSE to let some newbie a**holes force ME into wearing earplugs while they do whatever the f*ck they want. I went through that sh*t with a next-door neighbor 13 years ago. I was renting astudio apartment & the owner next door was a Canadian guy, an old man who was a bully. He put his chairs in front of my windows, hung his wet clothes from my apartment light, pounded on the walls all day & night, turned his T.V. so loud I could hear it in the city 16 miles AWAY, and parked his car illegally in a non-space next to mine, & then essentially ordered me to move my car from it's assigned spot because he didn't like how close I parked to his illegally parked car. The condo manager would do NOTHING against this guy, because HE was an owner & *I* was only a renter.

I sat & took this a**holes' sh*t for 2 years while he pushed me around. Then one night, I came home from work, and he had just arrived from Canada (I knew when he would come down from Canada every year; he always arrived at the beginning of April). At THIS point, I decided I'd had ENOUGH, and I was going to give this f*cker the WORKS. I parked so close to his (illegally parked) vehicle, he LITERALLY couldn't open his door. As I walked away, he shouted from his car, "Are you SURE you couldn't get any closer??". I turned around, and, with a big smile, replied, "Nope, this was as close as I could get.". And walked away with a big "F*ck You" smile to him.

He managed to climb out his passenger side. Knowing he was coming down that night, I had ALREADY put MY chairs in front of my window before he could put HIS there, anticipating the coming fight. I went to work, & when I came home, MY chairs were gone & HIS were in front of my window. I asked him & his son, "Do you know what happened to my chairs?". "Oh, NO. Management must have taken them." (his son naturally backed his bullsh*t story). He soon left, and I soon FOUND my chairs-in the nearby dumpster. So I pulled MINE out, & threw HIS in the dumpster. Curiously enough, when he returned home, he somehow INSTANTLY knew where to find HIS chairs. He confronted me with a nasty attitude, got in my face. MY response was, "Oh, *I* didn't do it. Maybe MANAGEMENT threw YOUR chairs in there TOO. Strange how you knew to look in the SAME dumpster I found MINE in." When he got FURTHER into my face, I bugged my eyes out at him, got nose-to-nose with him, gritted my teeth, and said, through my teeth, "What are you gonna DO about it, OLLLDDD MAAAAAAN???". The f*cker got REAL scared at that point. Figured he was dealing with a psycho (which was my intention. And probably not too removed from the truth). He backed off (after a further last-attempt parting threat of calling the police. I told him, 'Go f*cking ahead. I ALREADY called the police on YOU'.).


But in the end, it WORKED. Guy figured after that he was dealing with a nutcase he'd pushed too far. He was now really scared that he'd come out to his car and find this psycho next door would ice-pick his side door or tires (He actually DID slash the side of my car at one point a while before I got in his face, but I never responded because he denied it & I could never PROVE it. Had I BEEN able to prove it, he'd have gotton himself a nice reciprocal present to HIS car). And he turned for the rest of my time there into my 'best friend', all of a sudden (outside of one further halfhearted attempt to, for some reason, put his mat in front of my door the next day. I took HIS mat & threw it out & replaced it with MINE).

After another year & a half, I moved out (and he probably said, "I'm glad that motherf*cker is gone"). Ironically, a few years later, my CO-WORKER moved into my old apartment by coincidence. I asked him if he had a sh*thead old man living next to him, & he said he DID. The *** was still there terrorising his next door tenants. I gave my co-worker the skinny on the guy, & told him just how to give the sh*t to the guy.



Tune in next time for the story of the neighbors (in my NEXT apartment after I left THIS guy) who decided it would be fun to hammer & drill their walls at 12:45 A.M. on a Sunday (is it any WONDER I'm so sensitive to noise?)

Liberal ideology, insure domestic tranquility, which means getting us
out of Iraq which was a war started under false pretenses by George W.
Bush because he is a crony of Halliburton and big business interests &
we hate George W. Bush & Republicans, provide for the common defense,
