No $2B for 9/11 Heroes (NY Daily News article):

http://nydailynews.com/front/story/452729p-380812c.html

Just goes to show that as far as the ReThugs go ($1 to Chad),

I prefer ReBloodlicans and DemoCrypts

LOL.. but either way, the emergeny workers do deserve compensation.
They were in unknown territory and one must recognize that was going to
do damage, but they went in there anyway and deserve all the props.

As for Sudan, I straight up agree that the US should take the lead and
do something about that. But consider this. Just to play Devil's
advoate here, what if f the US did, how long until the celebrities who
are screaming for the US to go in turn around and say Bush started the
war or that there were no problems until the US went in if things start
going south there? You know there will be protestors screaming that
there was no genocide until foreign troops went in or that there is
some conspiracy to attack innocent Sudanese by the US or that there
must be oil in Darfur or something. Personally I think Sudan is a
hellhole and unlike Rwanda, this is something which has gone on a while
and there is no real excuse for the world to say they are suprised or
something.

Also, the area is very large, there are very few roads, and the targets
are ragged bands of attackers who blend with civilians. In a perfect
world one would arm the locals to fight back, but the Sudanese gov't is
in tight with some of the Gulf states. So nobody odes anything but
talk, which is a sin.
