Walt Whitman (1819, RIP) - Poet, wrote "Leaves of Grass".
Prince Rainier of Monaco (1923, RIP) - Ruler of Monaco and the Widower
of Princess Grace Kelly.
Clint Eastwood (1930) - Actor, star of Television ("Rawhide") and
movies (the Dirty Harry movies, Sergio Leone's spaghetti westerns,
"Unforgiven" among many more). Directed several films, most of which
he also appeared in ("A Perfect World", "Space Cowboys", "Million
Dollar Baby").
Peter Yarrow (1938) - One-third of the folk music group Peter, Paul and
Mary (hint: he's not Mary).
Johnny Paycheck (1938, RIP) - Country singer, most famous for the
classic "Take This Job and Shove It"
Sharon Gless (1943) - The blonde half of "Cagney and Lacey"
Joe Namath (1943) - "Broadway Joe", star of the New York Jets.
Guaranteed a victory in Super Bowl III. Later known for endorsing
pantyhose and, later still, trying to hit on Suzie Kolber while utterly
smashed on live TV.
John Bonham (1948, RIP) - Drummer for Led Zeppelin.
Tom Berenger (1949) - Actor, appeared in "Eddie and the Cruisers" and
"Major League". Also was Rebecca's boyfriend in later episodes of
"Cheers".
Gregory Harrison (1950) - 'Gonzo' Gates on "Trapper John, M.D."
Lea Thompson (1961) - Lorraine McFly from the "Back to the Future"
series, also starred in that Hollywood gem "Howard the Duck". Also
Starred in the TV serries "Caroline in the City".
Brooke Shields (1965) - Starred in "The Blue Lagoon" and "Pretty Baby".
Gave birth to her second child the same day as Tom Cruise and Katie (I
don't care what Mr. Cruise says, she's still Katie) Holmes had theirs.
Colin Farrell (1976) - Actor, starred in "Alexander" and "Phone Booth".
Will appear later this year as Lt. Sonny Crockett in the big screen
adaptation of "Miami Vice".
And a special Happy Birthday to...
Vampiro (1967) - Wrestler that feuded with Sting back in their WCW
days. Also feuded with the KISS Demon (Dale Torborg), culminating in
the infamous graveyard match that rivaled "Plan 9 from Outer Space" in
reality.
