Sir, may I submit to you the notion that puppets are real voters. Your revolting bias is tarnishing this suggestion thread.

You don't let just anybody come up to a polling place on election day
holding a couple of pieces of junk mail with their name and address on

You are uninformed, my friend. Real elections have the equivalent of sockpuppets, and it is accepted and loved. What do you think the Diebold machines with remotely-accessible exploits are for? Sockpuppeting, that's what.
