Some of you believed my fishing trip picture was insensitive. Not p/c.
Funny, I never recognized that this bothered me. I appreciate though
that you attempted to bring it to my attention.

Frankly, I couldn't help myself, having tired of the negative whines
and howling cries of victimization, and also the lack of direct
attention on the incompetents running the government down there.

Yes, there were tragic instances. But giving airtime only to wacky,
pessimistic, irrational voices (as media across the board did--even
FOX) was just too much for me to tolerate for too long. Anyone who
expresses sentiments like "How could they let this hurricane come
here and do this to our lives?" is a kook as far as I am concerned.
Those that somehow believe people are directly to blame for the
happening of a natural catastrophe don't deserve to be heard. In
fact, they should to be told to shut the hell up. These kinds of people
contribute nothing toward repairing things to a better state. Truth is,
these people thrive on despair and disarray. Chaos -- mentally and
physically and in the way they conduct their lives -- is nothing new to
them. They forge their whole lives in and around it. This hurricane to
them was nothing more than like rearranging the furniture. If we could
be shown what general conditions they lived in before the hurricane, we
would see that had little respect for what they did have. We would see
just how unorganized, unclean and dysfunctionally they lived. They
never gave a care for order, cleanliness or function before, but now
that they can get someone's attention who will possibly take over the
responsibility of their life for them, they go on these tirades about
how their life has been ruined. Their lives were already in ruin --
self ruin. Ruined by the bad choices they made over and over.

Beginning with the choice to sit on their ass expecting someone else to
hand them a wonderful, beautiful, healthy and wealthy life. And excuse
me for being the one to say so, but if you have a dozen kids and no
husband to be a father, there are some 'holes' in your life plan
that should be sewed up. Everyone makes mistakes, but only stupid
people make the same ones over and over and over and over and over and
over and over. Why should reasonable people have any sympathy for those
that do this, when they have absolutely none for the helpless dependent
children they go ahead and bring into the world when they know they
don't even have their own life act together? Continuing to have
children when you know the man who plants the seed is not going to be
around to help in the raising and when you can't afford to even raise
the ones you already have, is stupid.

These kind of people are the ones I am talking about when I say there
are those who need to sit down, shut up and just get the hell out of
the way. These people should be thankful all humans are not
undisciplined, promiscuous, depressing, doom-and-gloom maniacs like
them. Some of us care to do better all the time, make better the
quality of our lives day in and day out, not just in the face of
disaster when someone else will do the work and pick up the bill. Hell,
if all people were like these, it wouldn't only be New Orleans that
was a toilet bowl right now, and it wouldn't be so because a
hurricane caused it. It would be because people didn't give a damn
about making something better out of their lives and, thereby,
contributing something better back into the world. I'm sick of
hearing how you must have been born with a silver spoon in your mouth
to have one. This is the exception, not the rule.

Natural disasters happen and there is only so much we humans can do to
mitigate the consequences they throw down on us. It's real simple.
Francis Bacon said: "For nature to be commanded it must first be
obeyed." Mankind has, indeed, come a long way and figured out many
things. But when Mother Nature throws a fit you better do more than
just duck -- you better relocate until Her madness dies down. Get
married if you aren't and you'll get the hang of this drill rather
quickly. There's a reason why it's called Mother Nature. lol....

Question. Why was it too much to ask that we get to the bottom of why
200 or so buses sat flooded in water? Just why was it too much to keep
pushing on this till we had a truthful answer? Can we just stay with
this line of questioning, first? Would it be possible to make nothing
else matter until the Mayor and Governor are backed into a corner, like
the rats that they are, and they admittedly blurt out the truth:
"They sat there because we're incompetent and unworthy of being
called leaders and we screwed up really bad and people died on our
watch."

It's funny that whenever government -- local, state or federal -- has
a problem within itself, it never begins its investigation at the start
to discover what went wrong, first. And when you approach problem
solving this way, the true reasons for failures don't get found or
acknowledged, nor do problems ever get solved. Even in the simplest
life instances this does not work. If I have a problem to handle of any
kind, I can't just skip some of the preliminary and overall steps
that have created and brought the problem to whatever stage it may be
at. I can't just demand a different starting point where I want to
begin to figure out what went wrong. I can't do this to others and I
can't allow that it be done to me. It's nuts and it is not how real
life works. You don't get to know how a problem began if you refuse
to go and start at the beginning -- and assign blame, there, if it is
due. If two wrongs don't make a right, as they say, then pointing out
the first wrong is something we should make pretty damn important.

This is one of the problems with government that I always talk about.
In Washington, DC they make it seem like they are creating societal
solutions -- this is how they fraudulently keep their jobs -- but they
never take into consideration how people think and behave to begin
with. You can't fix societal problems if you skip objective review of
how people think and act and refuse to pass judgment on what you find.

So many of those so much smarter than you and I claim it would be
outright indecent right now to assign blame. This is bs. Since when has
acting indecent ever been a problem politicians and bureaucrats are
bothered by? They do this all the time and are even proud of it. No,
the true problem is getting a politician or bureaucrat to own up to the
blame they need to accept in the first place. All of them know that
NONE of them can or will do it, so, collectively, they give one another
a pass and shitcan assigning blame, altogether.

Today, it IS just too much to ask that wrongdoers be taken to task for
the wrongs they commit. It'd be great to just one time watch them sit
sweating under the pressure of finally knowing they must own up to
their wrongs. Holding someone -- anyone -- accountable is not a thing
we can do anymore. It's no wonder that I have over the last couple of
years, since being actively involved and paying strict attention,
become so sickened by the adults in politics, the political media
machinery and other professional positions extended automatic,
unconditional respect. They are all nothing but enablers of the
deterioration of the country they claim they so much want to save. Not
one from any side has the integrity to put their paycheck on the line
to get us -- THE PEOPLE WHO ARE SUPPOSED TO CONTROL THE GOVERNMENT --
the truth. NOT ONE.

Now is not the time to point fingers? Just when would it be ok to do
so? Pointing fingers, they say, is not a good idea right now because it
keeps us from getting to the work at hand. Why, I ask, can't we point
the finger at those to blame, first, and do so with a force to skewer
their waste right on top of the pile of rest of the damaged,
no-good-for-nothing debris? Get rid of them, NOW. Why the delay in
doing what the reality of my own everyday life demands? Would it be
only so we can forget about it 24 hours later? So cockamamie Attention
Deficit Disorders can work hand in hand with not having to pass
judgment? Thought so. Well, that doesn't work in my life as I go
about making decisions that have consequences. Does it work in yours?
Those with the forums and visibility are so damn politically correct,
passive, and bought-off, pointing fingers at those truly to blame will
never, ever happen. "Judgment" is no longer a concept in our
vocabulary. It's pathetic -- and no one who does this will I ever
call "like-minded" or a friend.

Now, Bush and his "compassionate conservatism" is going to allow
OUR government to green light legal looting. $200 billion has been
tossed around as the figure the Federal govt. is going to kick in. This
works out to be about a half million per citizen just for starters, and
this does not include billions of dollars of private charitable
contributions. Turns out none of the humans who turned savage 'round
about the 48 hour mark were truly raped as the New Orleans Police Chief
literally tearfully cried to Oprah Winfrey, but now all the
law-abiding, taxpaying citizens, not of New Orleans, are going to be
bent over and constitutionally sodomized. We are a great nation, yes --
a great nation with a great population of mostly weak, stupid,
undisciplined and dependent people. The majority of our citizenry are
emotional, psychological wrecks just hoping and waiting for someone to
rescue them for the responsibility of their life. Mind you, this says a
whole HELL of a lot about how just POWERFUL, EFFICIENT and PRODUCTIVE
the rest are.

And they are fat. Have you ever seen so many fat people? Poverty?
Poverty of what? Having enough to buy so much food to eat that you
become obese -- this is poverty? Only one TV? This is poverty? A house
with a roof over your head? This is Poverty? Indoor plumbing? Electric
appliances? Refrigeration? Phones? Cell phones? Computers? Designer
clothes made by rap stars? $200 Nikes? Free medicine and medical care
if you really need it? Is having all this poverty? What the hell, then,
do we call the scenes they shoot out of Africa that they use to lay
guilt trips down on all of us? Little kids, nothing but skin and bones
and flies all over them. Four poles and a *** for a house. Dry,
barren wastelands. Is that poverty? No? Yes? Tell me -- I just want to
know. How about we get on the same "poverty" page. Is what we call
poverty here the same as what we call poverty there? Because from what
I saw, those they say are suffering from poverty here in this country,
sure as hell aren't suffering from poverty of fat ass. Fat ass like I
saw, and see every single day, doesn't come from poverty the way I
understand the concept, i.e., DON'T EVEN HAVE ENOUGH FOOD TO EAT TO
STAY ALIVE.

SO WHAT these people don't have as much as I do. I don't have as
much as many others. But that doesn't make me entitled to it, make it
possible for me to demand that it gets spread around, that I get a
bigger share because there are those with bigger shares. But, now,
Bush, our loving robotic Republican President, has taken the inequality
bait thrown out by black leaders who are nothing less than pure-bred
racists and we are going to ideologically revisit the 1800's and
begin the debate over inequality all over again. As a result, he also,
compassionate conservative that he is, took one giant, despicable leap
toward America's inevitable Marxist, Communist and Socialist
philosophy of government. With all due disrespect, Al Sharptons and
Jesse Jacksons of the world, all you black leaders who demand
reparations and want to see white people in shackles and hanging from
nooses should just have a little more patience. At the p/c pace we are
going now, it won't be long before we are all slaves.

Common sense, self-restraint and disciplined thinking are less and less
to be found any more, anywhere. In just over 100 years, a time back
when this country fostered its greatest achievements, our populous has
deteriorated itself to subhuman standards. No wonder our government
subsidizes so much time and money to the study of primates -- it's
socialism's plan for the future: learn how to survive swinging from
trees and sustaining ourselves on a diet solely of bananas and TV
(perfect for propaganda and other mind-altering crap).

No sympathy, Warrior? No compassion? Yes, for those who truly need, but
none for those who don't. Yes, for those who truly can't, but none
for those who won't. Yes, for those who tragically perished or truly
suffer, but none for feel-sorry-for-me crybabies who whine and scream
victimization. Yes, yes -- for children who can't make their own way,
but none for adults and parents who refuse to.

They claim New Orleans was (is) a great city. Maybe once it was, I
don't know. Too, maybe it's just always been corrupt as it has been
for years and years. Truth is, today, it was nothing more than a
pornographic cesspool of decadence and depravity. You know, an East
Coast version of that Las Vegas take on vacation time -- "what you do
there stays there." You go there, drink and drink and drink and
behave like a pervert, reprobate and degenerate, take a huge dose of
antibiotics and a nice extra long shower before you hop on the plane
back home, and, "Hey, who knows any better?" You go back to the
church, PTA, and local council and "squarely" fit right back in.
One thing is for sure, IF New Orleans ever was a great city, it
certainly was not because it had leaders and citizenry like the leaders
and citizenry it has today. Hurricane Katrina will go down as a
historic catastrophe, yes. But what's most historic that I see are
the dour, helpless suicidal attitudes by the leaders and the people. As
an American, I am appalled at having to witness this. For me, it was
not, as it is was for so many others, the arguable lack of federal
response that had me wondering: Is this really America? No, it was the
pathetic, weak-ass, leaderless behavior that had me asking myself: Is
this really America? Are these really Americans behaving this way?

Nothing great was ever created by sorry ass attitudes such as we all
saw in the first few days of the tragedy. It made me ill. People were
turning into savages, flinging urine and feces on the walls, gangs were
allowed to stake out territories? People can't eat one meal and
angrily demand three? They shoot at the fellow Americans who volunteer
to risk their lives to help them? Are you kidding me?! And we can have
sympathy for this? That people don't have the willpower and
discipline to keep their rational human act together for longer than 48
hours? We should be ashamed that decency has been squandered to such a
lowly level. Can we just take a moment to consider the greater
sacrifices others before us have made? I guess not -- they don't
teach that stuff anymore and it's obviously not of that much interest
or importance to all of our more enlightened media elite who control
the public forums

Truly, the first looters that should have been shot were the Louisiana
Governor and New Orleans mayor. The deaths of many are on their hands.
They killed them with the weapon of their incompetence. It's that
simple, that cold and calculated. Let me say what others are thinking
but are afraid to speak: If anybody should have been left dead on the
streets, it should have been these two.

Enough. Besides, even though it's been years since I stepped into a
church and had the BIble thumped over me head, I am a pure believer and
just happen to believe with all that I am that we are never given more
than we can handle. Never. This tragedy will be countered with no less.
Negative is not always negative at its core. Whatever big, lumpy, fist
punches us square on, we already have within us what it will take to
recover and prosper even greater. Gloominess is always short compared
to the happiness we get to have in our lives. "Stuck on stupid"
(GREAT LINE! by Gen Honore) as we are, we forget this too easily.
Often, especially today, we fall for believing having more is what
makes us happier, when actually it is having less. Life is so, so
beautiful, but it is not always fair. This existence, our life and the
world around us, is powerful in many ways that we will never
understand. And some of those ways that are mean, ugly, nasty and
destructive we cannot control, maybe not even prepare for. There are
rules we humans make to coexist with one another, but there are also
rules we have no say so about. Nature is on a power trip all it's
own. It does not know that what it does is either good or bad, until we
humans, all full of ourselves for knowing what little we do, label it
so. You watch. For whatever bad that will continue to be talked about,
some incredible, inspiring and very, very good things will come out of
it. If you really believe, not by The Book or only because of The Book,
I mean deep down in the bones of your being you believe, then you can
count on the fact that this is a promise the Nature of the Universe
will keep. The best rises up from the ashes of what seems worst.
Without fail.

Funny thing, though, listening to all those damn God hypocrites -- they
got The Book, but not the belief. If they had it, they'd have to
reveal a sense of humor about all this. Again, what do you really
believe? The Creator they all claim to believe in has His own sense of
humor, has His own way of having fun with us human beings. When you
think about that He owns it all -- time and everything else -- and we
get only 60, 70, 80, maybe 100 years, death isn't really something we
should take too seriously too much of the time. My advice is to really
believe in the bigger picture, and while you have life, do the living
of it seriously. Death, which is inevitable, will take care of itself.
