So I was browsing, thinking I might pick up an RM to cut apart and
basically destroy (my dremel has been dormant for quite some
time)...and I come across this item:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220021952454&sspagename=ADME%3AL%3ARTQ%3AUS%3A1

Now, it appears from the desc that the dude knows nothing about
paintball markers (even more so when you consider what he is trying to
charge for it), so I politely sent the following message:
----------------------------------------------
Just a friendly piece of advice.
An untested, unmodified rainmaker will not sell for this much. They can
be had new (if found) for about 99 bucks. If you gas it up and verify
it works you may be able to get around 50 - 60 for it. You can fill the
co2 tank at any paintball type store.
I'm not trying to be rude or bust your bubble, just a friendly piece of
advice for ya. Check this completed auction:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Custom-Rainmaker_W0QQitemZ160019170323QQihZ006QQcategoryZ16048QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Only got into the 70s with an awful lot of custom work done to it.

Anyway, best of luck to ya, and hope you're able to get what you want
for it!
Mitch
---------------------------------------------------
Now I don't think I did anything out of line here...I gave some
friendly advice to someone who clearly knows nothing about paintball,
again going by the description of the item.
I get the following response:
Item: Brass Eagle Rainmaker Paintball Gun (220021952454)
This message was sent while the listing was active.
abucollectibles is the seller.

whatever dude you must be the smartest person in the world to know what
something will or will not sell for on ebay but thanks anyway for
whatever.
----------------------------------------------------
Now...I'm obviously interested in the item, since I found it. And this
guy is going to tell me off? What kind of douchebag is this guy?
So I sent a reply in my usual charming Habeeb style:
----------------------------------------------------
You're seriously going to respond like a jerk because I gave you some
advice, as someone who knows paintball stuff (judging by your add, I
assumed you did not)? Best of luck to you. I didn't claim to be the
smartest person in the world...I figured I would help you avoid losing
your listing cost...but you know what? YOu're right...go ahead, try and
sell a gun that 99% of the paintball community thinks is garbage for
way more than its worth. You're right, its not my problem. Responses
like yours here is a plain example of why I freakin hate humanity.
Jackass.
----------------------------------------------------
$159.99 for an untested, used rainmaker. Good luck asswipe. I would
encourage everyone to bombard this idiot with e-mails offering him 10 -
15 bucks for the POS ;)
