Now you are comparing something totally different to this.
Remember when you point a marker at the ground and it is utilizing CO2
as the propellant you are actually allowing the liquid CO2 into the
marker along with the gas. So of course your velocity is going to
vary. You are not relying on just the gaseous state of CO2 at that
time and you are using a liquid. Easy way to tell what you did is to
watch your marker as condensation forms on the site of the marker.
I use an expansion chamber and stabilizer along with a tank that has a
siphon tube so no liquid gets into my marker. My velocity is very
consistent as +/- 2 fps which I consider very good (especially with
CO2) I do have to change my velocity via a RVA during the day but
temperatures do that.
I have a model 98 and custom 98 and neither vary more than 10 fps.
The model 98 has a flatline on it and is very accurate up to at least
140 ft with no wind.
