It's all well and good to put a ribbon on your SUV and say that you
support the troops, but it's another thing to actually *do* something
concrete. If you really want to support the troops, there's plenty
you can do. If you're in favour of the war, then you could put your
money where your mouth is and go sign up so that you can take the
place of someone who's about to be sent back for a second or third
tour overseas. If you're against the war, you should be vociferously
championing the cause of getting the troops home. In either case,
you should be raking your politicians over the coals over why the
troops don't have body armour and armoured vehicles adequate to
protect them from the RPG attacks, IED blasts, and small arms fire
that they face every day.
