A lot of news servers probably cancelled it. It was blatant spam,
multiposted to many newsgroups. You can find a copy in other groups
using Google, though.

When I was in the reserves and mentioned that fact to people, a goodly
number of them said the same thing. I don't know that I agree. In my
admittedly limited experience, you will have a lot of very profound
experiences in the military -- both profoundly good and profoundly bad.
I think that if you are willing to join up and have some appreciation
for what it's going to entail, then it can be a positive experience.
If you're being dragged in as an unwilling participant or don't have any
idea what you're signing up for, things will probably turn out badly.
