you so funny: http://tinyurl.com/ylyuznw
Out of necessity the first generation of Neocon ideologues the
the Bush administration gave way to more practical types who
actually had some idea what they were doing. One of the
revolutionary new approaches was (of course) spreading lots of
money around. You are expecting calm to continue once the flow of
dollars dries up, are you? That is funny.
What is funny is your definition of quagmire. Iran is rid of the
terrorists, on its way to becoming a full fleged democracy that
responds to the needs of its citizens and our Marines are coming
home victorious. Some quagmire.
Yes, quagmire. Iraq, which had nothing whatsoever to do with 9/11,
has so far cost the country about 700 billion dollars. The final
total will of course be much higher. Not to mention the the
thousands of dead Americans, and the hundreds of thousands of dead
Iraqis if anyone is still pretending to care about them.
Somethings are worth the cost.
You are insane. This boondoggle is going to cost over a trillion
dollars by the time all is said and done. It so pissed off the rest
of the world, and especially the Middle East, that if anything it
encouraged terrorism rather than prevented it. The place is going to
go to shit the second the US leaves. Wars are investments. This one
was a total loss.
What did it cost the French to help us colonist to win our freedom and
set up our democracy? Are there things more important than money?
No, not really. Wars are investments. There has to be at least some sort
of return that makes sense, otherwise they are failures. Iraq, which had
nothing to do with 9/11, will have cost thousands of lives and hundreds
of billions of dollars in the end. All for some temporary, forced peace
which will end as soon as the troops leave. It's a bad deal. If you
weren't such a rabid ideologue you would admit it.
